DCRTA MEMBERSHIP
DCRTA membership is open to all active and retired teachers, administrators, school personnel, spouses, and friends of education.
DCRTA Regular Membership: Any retired teacher or administrator is eligible for active membership. Membership becomes effective on payment of dues. Dues for Regular Membership are $15.00 and payable at the beginning of each fiscal year.
DCRTA Associate Membership: Any school personnel, spouse of an active teacher or administrator, or friend of education is eligible for Associate Membership. Associate Membership becomes effective upon payment of dues. Associate Membership dues are $5.00 per fiscal year.
DCRTA Couple Plan Membership: All retired couples can join the DCRTA at the cost of $20.00. This is to honor both of you who have given so much to educate the young people of our county. Your spouse does not have to be a retired teacher.
DCRTA Honorary Life Membership: At the age of 80, DCRTA members become Honorary Life Membership in the local Association. Honorary Life Members do not pay any dues.

IRTA MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the state retirement association is open to all retired teachers, administrators, and surviving spouses receiving pensions from the State Teachers Retirement Fund.
IRTA Active Membership: IRTA state dues for retired teachers or administrators are $42 per year and are renewable each September. IRTA dues may be paid (1) directly to the state IRTA office, (2) deductible automatically from the September TRF check, or (3) paid at any DCRTA meeting. If paid at a local DCRTA meeting, the local treasurer will forward the form and check to the IRTA office.
IRTA Associate Membership: Any presently active teacher, spouse, or friend of education may become an Associate Members of the IRTA. Associate Membership dues are $20 yearly and are payable each September.
